Lance Berkman, Former Astros Star, is against an LGBT rights law in Houston
William Lance Berkman, known by the monikers “Fat Elvis” and “Big Puma,” is an American baseball instructor and retired professional baseball player who primarily occupied the positions of outfielder and first baseman. Currently, he serves as the head baseball coach for the Houston Christian Huskies. Over the course of his career, he competed for 15 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), representing teams such as the Houston Astros, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Texas Rangers. Berkman boasts an impressive record of six MLB All-Star appearances and clinched both a World Series championship and the National League Comeback Player of the Year Award while playing for the Cardinals in 2011.
